
The TxACOM Scholarship Program is designed to promote the
educational advancement of our members.
If you are interested in applying for the scholarship, read the
guidelines very carefully. If you are eligible, click the [APPLY]

Scholarships are available only because our members are generous.
Please consider a significant gift to the fund so that we can
continue to offer this benefit to our members.

Scholarship Guidelines & Requirements
Members who meet the eligibility requirements noted below may
apply directly to the Texas Alliance of Convention, Meeting and
Event Operation Managers. Scholarships are in the amount of $500,
and a maximum of 3 scholarships will be awarded each year.
Applicants for the Education Scholarship
must:
- Be a current member of TXACOM and in good standing.
- Complete and turn in the application on or before March 15, 2013.
- Have career goals focused on the Convention, Meeting and
Event Operations Industry.
Application Procedure & Deadline
- All applicants applying for the scholarship must complete
the application form and submit it no later than 5:00 pm,
March 15, 2013.
Guidelines for Selection Process
- Eligible applications will be reviewed by at least three
non-member volunteers who work in the industry.
- Only one board member can be awarded a scholarship each
year.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified at the May
membership meeting or by mail.
- The scholarship payments will be distributed May 21, 2013
at Annual Presidential Gala.
Responsibilities of
Recipients
- Scholarship must be used within 6 months of receipt/or
register for educational opportunity within that time and
provide a receipt to TXACOM.
- Within 3 months upon completion of educational opportunity,
recipient shall provide the membership with an overview of what
they gained from the class, certification, etc. and how they
will apply it to their current position in the industry. This
can be done in writing and addressed to the board or done
verbally at one of our quarterly luncheons.
